When your very first gig is supporting Gruff Rhys, you know you're doing something right. Pembrokeshire's Mattoidz did exactly that in 2003.

Over the next three years the foursome ("emerging from the caves of the Preseli mountains") have put together an extensive gig and release CV that has put them firmly to the front of the Welsh language scene. In 2003 their local indie, Rasp, released their debut EP, Tan Y Tro Nesa.
