1985: How tasty are British Army ration packs?

Food and Drink sent Drew Smith, editor of the Good Food Guide, on manoeuvres with a group of Royal Marines. His mission was to try out the food provided to soldiers and give his verdict on the essential supplies which keep them going. He also learnt a few serving suggestions along the way.
