1994: Dame Patricia Routledge on playing strong female characters

Dame Patricia Routledge, British acting icon whose performances included the formidable Hyacinth Bucket, has died at the age of 96.
In 1994 she talked to Alan Titchmarsh in the Pebble Mill studio about her talent for playing strong female characters, including her then-current role as Mrs. Malaprop in Richard Brinsley Sheridan's play The Rivals.
