1971: Saltburn's Halfpenny Toll Bridge

Saltburn's Ha'Penny Bridge's toll fought the good fight against inflation but finally has to give up.

Originally built in 1868, the bridge which spanned Skelton Beck would be demolished shortly afterwards in 1974.
