FOSTER TALES By Wendy Lewis Wendy and her husband, Jim, have been fostering teenagers for more than 20 years. In that time, they've cared for more than 35 children - from overnight stays to nine years. She talks about how it all came about.
Royston Rogers Too often the work of fosterers are taken for granted it's sad.
My mother fostered over 500 children she started about 1945.
She also fought for Christmas and holiday money for them.
She always said it kept her young, she is now 93.
Keep up the good work more good people are needed.
