Blast

Going into BBC Radio Cleveland this week I was looking forward to another week of office banter along with writing up another story.

How wrong I was.

I ended up attending a press conference at Middlesbrough FC to see the unveiling of new signing Jonathan Woodgate!

We arrived early to set up and I was seriously impressed with the training complex as it was my first time there.

There were a number of players coming and going, even bumped into Mark Viduka (not literally) who seem a nice guy.

After getting set up in the press room we eagerly awaited the arrival of manager Gareth Southgate and new signing Woodgate from Real Madrid.

As soon the pair entered the room a flock of photographers crowded round them which was interesting to say the least.

Once the press conference had finished it was time for more photos and a chance to get a few interviews with both the manager and the player himself.

On the way out of the training ground we also saw fellow new signing Jason Euell who seemed rather relaxed and said he was there to put the finishing touches to his moved from Charlton.
