See what he got up to this week with the BBC Tees team. Well a busy week has ended and another one is just starting. Last week I did a feature on a local swimmer who was competing at the European championship and at 16 that is something special! I also got the chance to join the commentary team at a pre-season friendly Middlesbrough V Chievo which I was looking forward to. We arrived at the stadium early to set up and get a quick bite to eat before the game kicked off. We were joined in the press box by a number of other commentary teams and also managed to bump into Jeff Winter (former premiership referee) and the Boro legend Bernie Slaven! I planned to do a match report on the game, so armed with my camera, pen and paper I got to work. The game ended 0-0 but I had lots to write about, and although it was a bit on the cold side (didn't take any gloves) I enjoyed seeing how it all works. Well today I was back in the office and I have to say I kind of missed it. I had to write up the match report on the game, which took me a while due to suffering from the age old problem of writers block! Looking to the rest of the week I need to start doing some research on my next story and I'll be in on Saturday to help out with the sports output! last updated: 27/06/07 |
