BEN:Weee! Wooo! I found my kite Radha.
BEN:It's going to be wooshy and windy and whirly and wooo!
RADHA:And here comes Breagha with her kite too, wahey. Are you OK?
BREAGHA:Look at my kite. I forgot it got broken last time I took it to the park.
RADHA:Oh I'm sorry Breagha.
BREAGHA:Ohh.
BEN:Can we still go to the park?
BREAGHA:I don’t WANT to go to the park anymore. I feel all hot and stompy and… AHHH!
RADHA:I think what you're feeling is angry Breagha.
RADHA:'Sometimes even little things can make us feel like 'scrunching our mouths up. 'And make our faces go red. 'And scream "GRRR!" 'Then you know you're feeling angry.'
BREAGHA:I can't stop thinking about my kite.
RADHA:Do you think it would make you feel better if you talked about it? Ben and I are here to listen.
BEN:Oh yes, umm hang on… Ready.
BREAGHA:OK, I'll tell you all about it. 'I was at the park with my friends. 'We were all flying our kites. It was a really windy day. 'I wanted my kite to fly the highest.
BREAGHA:'So I ran fast to make it go really high up into the sky. 'It went higher and higher.
BREAGHA:'And I was thinking so much about how high my kite was going to go 'that I didn’t see the tree! 'My kite got all tangled in the branches. 'I tried to get it out but the more I tugged the more it tangled.
BREAGHA:'Then I tugged really hard and it ripped against the branches. 'And fell to the ground. 'I was so hot and stompy, I broke my kite!
BREAGHA:'I felt so angry. 'When I got home I stuffed it in my toy box 'because I didn’t want to look at it. 'And I forgot all about it. 'Until now.'
RADHA:Angry is not a very nice feeling to have is it?
BREAGHA:No.
BEN:Hmm, what can we do to get rid of Breagha's angry feelings Radha?
RADHA:Why don’t we ask our feelings friends to help us?
BREAGHA:Oh!
BEN:Oh yes.
BREAGHA:Great idea Radha.
RADHA:Hello Louis, hello Cia, come in.
RADHA:Thank you for coming today.
CHILDREN:Hello!
RADHA:Breagha here has been feeling angry today. So we want to try and get all of those angry feelings out. Why don’t we all bang on some drums?
BEN:Oh yes!RADHA:Louis and Cia, I've got this special one for you. All nice and shiny.
RADHA:There's a spoon there for you. Ben you've got this. And Breagha you've got that lovely red one!
BOTH:Thank you.
RADHA:One, two, three… Go! And stop.
BEN:Have your angry feelings gone now?
BREAGHA:Umm, a little bit. But I still want to stomp.
RADHA:That's a great idea! Why don’t we all have a go at stomping with our feet? Ready? Go!
BEN:Go!
JOYFUL MUSIC
RADHA:And stop. How are you feeling now?
BREAGHA:I still feel a little bit "GRRR".
RADHA:OK, well I've got an idea. Let's all close our eyes… Take a deep breath in. And out. And then close your eyes and count to three.
ALL:One, two, three…
RADHA:And open your eyes!
BEN:THREE! Hello everyone!
BREAGHA:You're funny.
BEN:Are you not feeling angry anymore?
BREAGHA:Ah, I feel so much better. Telling you all about it and bashing and breathing. Has made the angry feelings go away. Thank you feelings friends.
RADHA:Thank you Cia, thank you Louis for all your help today.
ALL:Bye!
BREAGHA:I'm sorry if I wasn’t very nice when I was angry.
RADHA:Aww that's OK Breagha. It's OK to feel angry but it's better to try and get all those angry feelings out.
BREAGHA:Everyone feels angry sometimes. But it's not always a nice feeling to have. Talking helps, but sometimes you just want to stomp!
