In a game called Tomber à l'eau, the students split into pairs and test the waters on their knowledge of French pronouns.
A member from each team is blindfolded several steps away from the pool.
There, they must successfully use the pronouns given to them by their teammate in a sentence.
Any incorrect answers result in the student taking a single step back towards the pool.
The game will continue in this fashion until eventually … SPLASH!

Teacher Notes
You could split your class up into pairs and set up a challenge similar to that in the film.
Rather than using a swimming pool, you could set it up that the first pair to get from one side of the room to another, or whatever space you have, wins some kind of prize.
Curriculum Notes
This clip is relevant for teaching French at KS3 and KS4 in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and at National 4 and 5 in Scotland.
