1. Video playback is slow and jerky
- Please check that your computer exceeds the minimum spec.
- To improve playback please close all other programs running on your computer.
- Downloading the latest Flash player may also improve things.
2. Loading is taking too long
- This project has been designed for home use broadband connections of at least 2Mbps. Many corporate or school networks run slower than this, so we'd recommend viewing it at home.
- If you are downloading files or using other web applications at the same time you will have to wait longer for each part of the experience to load. Please ensure that you close all other applications or downloads running on your computer.
3. Minimum hardware spec
PC - Pentium4, 1.5 GHz CPU, 512 MB RAM, minimum display resolution of 1024 x 768.
Mac - On most Macs you'll be able to watch the video and play the games. However due to the way Mac handles Flash you won't be able to play the games unless you have the following minimum spec Mac:
Macintosh 2MHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB RAM, OSX 10.4, minimum display resolution of 1024 x 768.
4. Games play slowly - can I make them play faster?
- Please check that your computer exceeds the minimum hardware specification.
- Ensure that you close all other applications running on your computer. Downloading the latest Flash player may also improve matters.
5. Captions / sub titles - turning on and off
All the videos in META4ORCE have closed captions. To turn these on or off press the 's' key, or access them from the mini-navigation within the playback interface.
6. Games help. How do I complete a game?
If you are stuck on a mid-episode game and wish to skip it, use the mini-navigation and click on 'skip'. This will take you directly to the next part of the video.
Be sure to read the instructions at the start of each game as these will give you vital clues as to what you need to do to progress.
Each game will auto complete if you do not move the cursor for 60 seconds.
7. Which version of Flash do I need?
Adobe Flash Version 9 or later. Click here to download the latest version.
8. Games - Why can't I see my saved results?
The results of the games are not saved in META4ORCE.
9. The video seems pixellated?
The video has been compressed so you can watch it over the internet. In scenes with lots of movement this can mean the picture becomes blocky or pixellated.
10. Can I skip to a game or video?
Yes, you can choose to go straight to any part of the META4ORCE experience.
11. Where are the games? I can only see the videos.
You can choose the games from the main when when you launch META4ORCE, however we suggest you watch the video first for the full experience.
To help improve processor power please close down any applications running on your computer.
