The man behind Various D: Wave prefers to remain anonymous but describes himself as a 'reformed synth-wizard and sometime singer-songwriter' with plenty of experience from the local band scene.

Elements of 'Ooh Baby' sound just as worthy as much of the commercial dance music in the charts today and wouldn't sound out of place on the sticky dance-floors of Ipswich.
Having tired of the traditional band format he has utilised the recording, mixing and sampling possibilities of a PC to produce his own brand of dance-pop.

Much of the music is still written on piano and guitar but recorded with softer instruments, using sampled vocals to improve the depth of the tracks.

All of the tracks here can be found on Various D: Wave's 'A14' album, described as 'a homage to the East Anglian dance scene'.

The mystery man behind the music doesn't like being referred to as a DJ, he prefers to call himself a virtual band because her writes, plays and records all the music himself although he does admit he makes the occasional audacious sample.

Saw you guys on Myspace - Love it but is it a different version of "deep in my soul"?
Sophie, Burnham Market

heard "deep in my soul" on Pulse 405 - love it!
Nathan, wells

Heard Waiting Room on Pulse 905 - Top ambient trip. Took me back to that mid 90s illicit groove a la tricky/portishead. More in this vein please.
