Henman shows generous side
Leeds' Callum Sinclair, 11, was given Tim Henman's broken racquet
Callum Sinclair cradles Tim Henman's tennis racquet
A Tim Henman fan has secured his hero's tennis racquet after out-cheering the Briton's thousands of other Centre Court cohorts.

Eleven-year-old Callum Sinclair made himself heard above the din as he urged on Henman to a four-set win over Brazil's Andre Sa.

Henman dropped the second set but hit back to win 6-3 5-7 6-4 6-3 to book a semi-final against Australia's world number one and top seed Lleyton Hewitt.

The British number one has had a rocky ride throughout the championships, and acknowledges that the home crowd have been a major source of inspiration.

And none more so than the youngster from Leeds - celebrating his birthday on Centre Court - who was the proud recipient of one of Henman's racquets after the match.

A jubilant Sinclair said: "At the end of the match Tim Henman picked up the racquet that he had broken and gave it to the ball boy and then pointed at me.

"I cheered "Go Tim" really loud all the way through the match. I cannot believe he gave me the racquet. Tim can win."

Henman insisted that if he was to win the title he would make a pilgrimage to the so-called "Henman Hill " outside number one court to salute his army of fans watching on the big screen.

"I've always tried to state how much I appreciate that support, whether its inside the stadium or outside," he said.

"It's a really special thing for me. Now to be in the position where they've kind of named the hill after me, it's pretty cool."
