Gonzalez takes Sicily title
Fernando Gonzalez
Gonzalez has been in impressive form recently
Chilean Fernando Gonzalez won the Sicily International on Sunday with a 5-7 6-3 6-1 victory over 19-year-old Argentine Jose Acasuso.

Acasuso became the first player to win a set against the Chilean after a closely-contested opening.

But Gonzalez recovered in the second set, and in the end ran out a comfortable winner.

The victory continues an excellent season for Gonzalez who has won 14 of his last 17 matches on the ATP circuit.

The Chilean reached the quarter-finals of the US Open and the semi-final of the US Masters event in Cincinnati.

Sicily was Acasuso's third final on clay this season after his win in the Polish Open and his runners-up spot in Bucharest.
