Ferrero to face Moya
Juan Carlos Ferrero
Juan Carlos Ferrero is in confident mood

Carlos Moya came through a rain delay to set up a tantalising final against fellow Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero at the Salem Open in Hong Kong.

Second seed Ferrero came through the first semi-final 6-4 6-1 against Frenchman Jerome Golmard in just over an hour.

And Moya joined his friend with a 6-4 7-6 win over Jonas Bjorkman after play was briefly suspended due to rain towards the end of the second set.

Moya is chasing his fifth title of the year
Ferrero and Moya are locked on the same points at fifth in the Champions Race, with only the top seven in the world guaranteed a spot at November's Masters Cup.

And Ferrero is enjoying a new-found confidence on the fast hardcourts that dominate the final few months of the season.

"I'm feeling so good right now," he said. "I haven't won a tournament without losing a set before, I'd really like to do that.

"I have really enjoyed playing this week on the hard courts."

All us Spanish players are good friends, we stick together
Juan Carlos Ferrero
Moya has won four tournaments this year, including a Masters Series victory on the hardcourts of Cincinnati in August, when he beat Ferrero in the semis.

"I am feeling really good right now," Moya said.

"Winning at Cincinnati (on hardcourt just before the US Open) has given me a lot of confidence on this surface."

The pair have met seven times, with Ferrero leading 5-2.

And they insisted their friendship would be put on hold for Sunday's final.

"All us Spanish players are good friends, we stick together," Ferrero said.

"We (he and Moya) even practised together before our matches today.

"We have had dinner and lunch together this week, and we have hit together. But we will forget that for a couple of hours tomorrow."
