Acasuso will now face Chile's Fernando Gonzalez, who cruised to a straight-sets win over Bohdan Ulihrach in the other semi-final. The third-seeded Argentine is enjoying a good season, with Sicily his third ATP final on clay in the last two months. He gained his first career win at the Polish Open in Sopot and also reached the final in Bucharest where he lost to Spaniard David Ferrer. Gonzalez easily saw off Czech Ulihrach 6-1 6-2, blasting his opponent off the court with his powerful baseline game. The 22-year-old has now won 13 of his last 16 matches, including a quarter-final appearance at the US Open. |
