Springbok coach Rudolf Straeuli has named eight new caps in his 26-man touring squad for the three Test against France, Scotland and England.

The team will be captained by Western Province flanker Corne Krige.

Bulls flanker Pedrie Wannenburg and Western Province centre Jean de Villiers are called up from the World Cup winning U-21 side.

  SA fixtures
9 Nov: SA v France, Marseille
16 Nov: SA v Scotland, Murrayfield
23 Nov: SA v England, Twickenham
Bulls lock Bakkies Botha, Sharks prop Deon Carstens, Pumas flanker Pierre Uys, Pumas lock Marco Wentzel, Bulls prop Wessel Roux and Free State centre Frederich Lombard are also included.

"It's an exciting squad filled with talented young players who have put up their hands during this year's Currie Cup," Straeuli said.

"Certain players weren't considered because of injury. They will be undergoing rehabilitation.

"This is going to be a tough tour and our first match against France is a key fixture because we all know how good they are in Marseille."

One of the surprise omissions was 19-year-old Bulls flyhalf Derick Hougaard who earlier in the day had steered the Bulls to victory in the Currie Cup final over the Lions.

SA squad:

Forwards: Bakkies Botha, Deon Carstens, James Dalton, Corne Krige (captain), Jannes Labuschagne, Victor Matfield, Willie Meyer, Wessel Roux, Lawrence Sephaka, Pierre Uys, Joe van Niekerk, Lukas van Biljon, Pedrie Wannenburg, Marco Wentzel.

Backs: Bolla Conradie, Neil de Kock, Jean de Villiers, Robbie Fleck, Werner Greeff, Adrian Jacobs, Butch James, Marius Joubert, Frederich Lombard, Breyton Paulse, Andre Pretorius, Brent Russell.
