Parker Pen Round-up: Wales
Gareth Wyatt
Pontypridd rattled up the tries against Roma

Bridgend 27-9 Pau (agg: 33-27)

Bridgend knew they had to score 13 points more than Pau if they were qualify and thanks to an outstanding kicking display by Craig Warlow, they overcame their French visitors to earn a second-tie duel against Bath.

Bridgend saw much of the ball in the early stages, but failed to capitalise on their half chances. Warlow punished Pau for their frequent infringements converting five penalties to give Bridgend the half time lead

The opening of the second period saw Bridgend step up the pressure and went in search of a try. Both Mannix and Van Rensburg came close, but once again the scoreboard only increased via Warlow's impressive boot.
