Toulouse have confirmed that the 29-year-old front-row has opted to join the Tigers on a two-year contract, barely a month after suggesting Tournaire would join Bath. Tournaire, who has 49 international caps but has fallen out of favour with current coach Bernard Laporte, has long hinted at his desire to move across the Channel. And, despite the Narbonne-born prop still having three years remaining on his current contract, Toulouse are willing to let him go following their elimination from the French championship last weekend. Leicester have refused to comment on Tournaire's arrival. But director of rugby Dean Richards is keen to take the pressure off veteran front-row Darren Garforth, who may be approaching his final season with the Tigers. | See also: 29 May 02 | English 08 May 02 | English 25 May 02 | Celtic 25 May 02 | European Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top English stories now: Links to more English stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
