It has been an unbelievable week for me, one that I will never forget.

To sign a new five-year deal with the club, win the Man of Steel award and then cap it off with victory in the Tetley's Super League Grand Final is absolutely fantastic.

It is the stuff dreams are made of.

It was never going to be easy, but for us to come from behind twice just shows you the character of the St Helens players.

Never write us off. I know a lot of people say it, but it is true.

You can never tell when Saints are dead and buried.

We knew once that sailed between the posts we had done it.

On another day it might have been me in Sean's position.

But I pulled a quadriceps muscle last week and was always going to avoid taking any kicks if possible.

I was never really a doubt for the final but I was not fully fit.

Still, I was determined to give it everything I had.

We knew it would be tough against a side as good as Bradford and would maybe need a piece of magic to separate the two sides.

When it comes to a Grand Final, form goes out of the window.

It is whoever hangs in there the longest.

But for it to come down to a single kick just 49 seconds from the final whistle is something special.

It is hard on the Bulls - they have shown throughout the season that they are a class act - but they will bounce back.

Now, though, the focus turns to New Zealand.
