Mellor set to join Tigers
Sharks' Paul Mellor in action against the Newcastle Knights
Mellor (left) has spent three years at Cronulla
Cronulla three-quarter Paul Mellor is set to sign a two-year deal with Castleford Tigers.

The 28-year-old has a year left to run on his Australian contract but the Sharks are happy for him to make the switch.

"I'm excited at the prospect of starting a fresh career in England," said Mellor.

"I've never been to Britain before. It's a great opportunity while my kids are still young."

Mellor began his career with South Sydney in 1991 before playing for Canterbury from 1997-98.

He joined Cronulla three seasons ago and has made 170 appearances and scored 66 tries.
