Thackray joins Tigers
Jamie Thackray in action for the Blue Sox
Thrackray scored three tries for Halifax last season
Castleford have signed forward Jamie Thackray from Super League rivals Halifax on a two-year contract.

Thackray, 23, who began his professional career at Hunslet feels it is time to move on.

He said, "I'm very excited about joining Castleford. I needed to make a move because I felt that I was going nowhere at Halifax and I'm looking to improve 100% at Castleford."

Thackray is the second player to switch to the Tigers in three days.

Wakefield prop Paul Jackson has also joined the ranks at The Jungle.
