Toni Dahlman, Marian Hossa and Chris Neil provided Ottawa's goals, helping the Senators to stretch their unbeaten streak to four games. The Senators are now one point behind Dallas for the overall NHL points lead. Lalime sat out the last two games with flu but had an easy night against the Penguins, playing for the first time since they traded Alexei Kovalev to the New York Rangers earlier this week. The trade was unpopular in Pittsburgh, where the Penguins are having trouble attracting fans to watch a mediocre team. Kovalev, for his part, scored an empty net goal in his first game as a Ranger, helping his new team beat the Florida Panthers 3-1 on Wednesday. Mike Dunham made 27 saves for the Rangers while Sandy McCarthy and Tom Poti scored the other New York goals. The Rangers won for the first time in five games under Glen Sather.
