Campbell added to Belfast meet
Darren Campbell won a bronze at last year's Commonwealth Games
Campbell will run in the 60m and 200m in Belfast
Darren Campbell is the latest big name to confirm his entry in this weekend's Irish Indoor Championships at the Odyssey Arena.

The Sydney Olympic silver medallist will compete in both the 60 metres and the 200m.

His rivals in the short sprint will include compatriot Mark Lewis-Francis.

Campbell won the European 100m Championship in 1998 and after a lacklustre '99 season, showed a marvellous return to form by claiming the 200m silver in Sydney.

Last year, he delighted fans in his native Manchester by overcoming injury in the early part of the season to claim a 200m bronze at the Commonwealth Games.

Turnbull v Donnelly?

The presence of Campbell in the 200m field could boost Ballymena sprinter Paul Brizzel's hopes of getting under the 21-second barrier.

Brizzel set an Irish record of 21.06 recently.

Irish outdoor 400m record holder Paul McKee may also opt to compete against Campbell.

Gareth Turnbull, meanwhile, may take on another Belfast athlete Dermot Donnelly in the 3000m at the Odyssey Arena.

Donnelly is a certain starter but Turnbull will decide later in the week whether to compete.
