Right-winger John Henderson scored a hat-trick of tries as RBAI cruised through to the quarter-finals of the Renault Ulster Schools' Cup.

RBAI tortured Sullivan in the first half and turned around 33-0 ahead at Osborne Park.

The hot favourites for this season's competition ran in seven tries, six of which were converted by play-making flyhalf Johnny Watt who also kicked a penalty.

Inst opened with an eighth minute try from excellent flanker Brian McDowell and at regular intervals centre Michael McKeever, Henderson with a brace and Watt all touched down.

Henderson grabbed his hat-trick try six minutes after the restart.

A brave Sullivan side battled back and applied some pressure but got no reward.

RBAI got their final try five minutes through Gary Mitchell.

Iain Semple was Wallace High's hero as they scraped out 11-11 draw at Royal Armagh.

Armagh looked to have booked their place in the quarter-final as they went into injury time 11-6 in front.

But Semple's try in the last seconds earned his side a replay on Wednesday at their Lisburn home.

Armagh had completely dominated the opening period and compiled an 11-0 lead at the break.

Centre Stewart Megarry had gone over for an unconverted try, finishing a superb break by Ethan Allen, and Jonathan Gillespie kicked two penalties.

Wallace looked a different side after the break with their big pack doing the damage, but they could only secure a brace of penalties from John Currie before Semple's last-ditch effort.

Methody ran in five tries in defeating Royal Portora 36-0 at Pirrie Park.

Kyle Corrigan (two), Stephen Minnis, Mark Scott and Stuart Morrow touched down while Gary Wilson converted three of the tries.

Jonny Peyton scored three tries as Royal School Dungannon won 45-10 away to Portadown College.

Dungannon's other touchdowns came from Jeff Wong, Philip Hall and Tim Smith (2).

BRA defeated Ballymena Academy 13-7 with Ulster Schools' fly-half Andrew Harper scored a converted try and also kicked a penalty as did Gareth McKee.

The elements were far from ideal at Ballymacormick Road, where Bangor Grammar defeated Belfast High 11-6.

Bangor led 8-6 at the half-time with Philip Vance kicking an early penalty and Jeremy Harper try with Richard Atkinson replying with two penalties for the High School.

Vance made sure for his side with another penalty in the second half.

Friends reached the quarter-finals for only the second time in 24 years with a 21-0 victory over Down High in Lisburn.
