Allenby fired a 65 to go to 15 under par for the tournament, which he won in 2000. His round of seven under included six birdies and an eagle at the long 15th. In third, on 12 under, were Jerry Kelly and Bob Estes, with Davis Love and overnight leader John Cook a shot further back. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow," said Allenby. "I've got myself in a good position and hopefully I can capitalize on it. "I'm feeling pretty comfortable and confident with the way I'm playing." But Lancaster thought he should have been better placed after his round of 67. "I had a lot of opportunities to make birdie," he said. "I left three, four, five out there. But you've got to be happy when you make eight." Meanwhile, Britain's former Walker Cup star Luke Donald fired a one-under 71 to climb to tied 21st on seven under overall.
