| Wednesday, 19 February, 2003, 09:30 GMT Queens fear serious injury ![]() Queen of the South striker Sean O'Connor suffered a medial ligament injury during Tuesday's Scottish Cup defeat by Aberdeen. The 21-year-old was stretchered off during the 4-1 loss at Pittodrie and could be out of action for six weeks. Although Queens fans were appealing for a free-kick at the time of the incident, O'Connor himself admitted that there was no physical contact by an Aberdeen player and that the injury was caused simply by falling awkwardly. O'Connor was taken to hospital and the First Division club's website later announced that it was the same leg to which he suffered a similar injury against Morton in the Bell's Cup in August. O'Connor, formerly of Dundee United, missed two months of the season following that previous injury. | See also: 19 Feb 03 | Scottish Cup Top Queen of the South stories now: Links to more Queen of the South stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
