Inter Milan have moved to end speculation linking them with a move for Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs.

Italian giants Inter and Juventus were reported to be keen on the Welsh winger during the transfer window in january.

But the San Siro side insist they are not interested in signing another left-sided player.

Uruguay international Alvaro Recoba currently occupies that position for Inter, who say the 29-year-old Giggs is not one of their targets.

"He is not in our future plans because Alvaro Recoba is younger and potentially stronger in that role," Inter technical director Gabriele Oriali told Italian sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
