| Tuesday, 18 February, 2003, 13:19 GMT Kachloul eyes loan escape ![]() Kachloul has seen his Villa career nosedive this season Midfielder Hassan Kachloul is considering a loan move away from Aston Villa because of a lack of first-team action. The Morrocan international has been snubbed by Villa boss Graham Taylor, only playing in the Intertoto Cup this season. Kachloul is eyeing a permanent move away from Villa Park but will have to wait until the transfer window reopens in the summer.
"If a loan deal comes along, then I might have to look at it," he said. "I am very frustrated. I don't want to be frozen out like this but I don't think I will be in the manager's plans. "I am not even getting the chance to put myself in the shop window should any other clubs be interested in me." Kachloul has already been linked with a loan move across the West Midlands to Wolves. But while he is still at Villa Park, Kachloul is one of several former first-team regulars who are forced to turn out for the reserves. Defender Alpay is also expected to line up for the second string against Birmingham's reserves on 25 February. The Turkish international had wanted to get away from Villa after not figuring in Taylor's plans since last October. Midfield duo Moustapha Hadji and Oyvind Leonhardsen are also likely to return to reserve action first, as they continue their comeback from injury. |
