Harry Kewell heads home Leeds' winning goal
English Premiership round-up

Leeds inflicted a 1-0 defeat on Manchester United to spoil Rio Ferdinand's return to his former club.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side dominated much of the game but were made to regret some poor finishing.

Record 29.3m buy Ferdinand could do nothing to prevent Harry Kewell from heading Leeds' winner midway through the second half.

Arsenal remain top of the table after beating Charlton 3-0 at The Valley.

Thierry Henry rifled Arsenal ahead on half time with a stunning finish after being set up by Dennis Bergkamp.

Sylvain Wiltord and Edu added further goals for the Gunners, who have now scored in 45 successive games - just one short of the all-time record set by Chesterfield in 1931.

Liverpool dramatically won 3-2 at Bolton Wanderers.

Milan Baros
Milan Baros scored twice for Liverpool

Milan Baros, who earlier hit a post, broke the deadlock for Liverpool just before the interval.

The Reds, with Michael Owen only on the bench, were pegged back when Ricardo Gardner equalised after the restart.

Baros restored Liverpool's lead but Ivan Campo looked to have rescued a point for Bolton until Emile Heskey netted two minutes from time.

Chelsea eased past struggling Newcastle United 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Gudjohnsen and Zola
Gudjohnsen and Zola were on target for Chelsea
Eidur Gudjohnsen gave Chelsea the lead from Boudewijn Zenden's cross and Gianfranco Zola soon made it 2-0.

Zola and Gudjohnsen combined again with the latter adding his second after poor Magpies defending.

Everton beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at Goodison Park.

Szilard Nemeth put Boro ahead early on after being set up by Geremi but Kevin Campbell pulled Everton level.

And it was Campbell who headed the winner just 13 minutes from time.

Fulham pulled off an impressive 3-0 victory at third-bottom Sunderland.

Junichi Inamoto
Junichi Inamoto netted for Fulham again
Junichi Inamoto put Fulham ahead with his sixth goal of the campaign and Barry Hayles doubled their lead after the break.

And the Cottagers rounded off a fine display when Steve Marlet netted the third.

West Brom edged to a 1-0 success over Southampton at the Hawthorns.

Sean Gregan won it when his 35-yard shot beat hapless Saints keeper Paul Jones.

To make matters worse for the Saints, defender Paul Williams was sent off.
