Shrewsbury 2-2 York

York stretched their unbeaten run to five games although Luke Rodgers' brace denied them a top-three spot in the 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury.

Rodgers claimed his 15th goal of the season on the half-hour mark when his 20-yard shot squirmed out of Michael Ingham's grasp and trickled over the goalline.

Graham Potter equalised on the hour with a dipping 25-yard effort and just two minutes later York went in to the lead thanks to Jon Parkin's clinical finish.

A brilliant second goal by Rodgers in the 74th minute rescued a point for the Shrews, although York were unfortunate not to snatch all three points when Parkin hit the woodwork in the last minute.

Shrewsbury: Cartwright, Moss, Redmile, Wilding, Smith, Talbot, Glenn Tolley, Lowe, Woan, Jemson, Rodgers.
Subs: Murray, Dunbavin, Ian Stevens, Artell, Aiston.

York: Ingham, Smith, Brass, Jones, Cooper, Bullock, Potter, Cowan, Nogan, Parkin, Shandran.
Subs: Mathie, Wood, Fox, Collinson, Wise.

Referee: K Hill (Hertfordshire).
