| Thursday, 13 February, 2003, 22:33 GMT L Orient 1-1 Cambridge Utd Jabo Ibehre struck 15 minutes from time to salvage Leyton Orient a deserved draw at home to promotion hopefuls Cambridge United. The U's, who jumped four places to eighth with this point, had taken the lead on 35 when Tom Youngs took advantage of some slack defending to scramble the ball home following a Luke Gutteridge corner. Orient responded well in the second-half, with the lively Ibehre and Lee Thorpe both had early chances to equalise. Orient boss Paul Brush then introduced substitute Chris Tate, a move which paid immediate dividends. He collected a Matt Lockwood pass with his first touch before laying the ball into the path of Ibehre who steered the ball past visiting keeper Shaun Marshall. Leyton Orient: Barrett, Barnard, Joseph, Smith, Billy Jones, Lockwood, Harris, Brazier, Martin, Thorpe, Ibehre. Subs: Hutchings, Canham, Tate, Morris, Alexander. Cambridge Utd: Marshall, Nacca, Goodhind, Tann, Angus, Guttridge, Wanless, Fleming, Youngs, Riza, Kitson. Subs: Murray, Chillingworth, Brennan, Revell, Bridges. Referee: I Williamson (Berkshire). |
