Bury 3-2 Swansea

Bury collected their first win of the season with a dramatic victory against Swansea City.

At one point the Shakers led 2-0 - but allowed Swansea to achieve parity before snatching a dramatic winner.

George Clegg opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he fired home his second goal in eight days.

And Jon Newby added a second after 37 minutes to put the Shakers in a commanding position.

But a controversial penalty awarded in the 68th minute against Steve Redmond brought Swansea back into the match.

Jason Thomas scored at the second time of asking after Glynn Garner had saved the initial spot-kick.

And when Danny Swailes headed into his own net from a long throw-in after 78 minutes, the Shakers were pegged back to 2-2.

However, Swailes made amends for his own goal with 10 minutes to go after he bundled home a shot from Jon Newby to restore the advantage.

Bury: Garner, Barrass, Forrest, Swailes, Unsworth, Redmond, Stuart, Clegg, Newby, Abbott, Dunfield. Subs: Preece, Hill, Billy, George, Nelson.

Swansea: Freestone, Jenkins, O'Leary, Jason Smith, Evans, David Smith, Phillips, Murphy, Reid, Watkin, Thomas. Subs: Mumford, Marsh, Williams, Sharp, Wood.

Referee: C Boyeson (E Yorkshire).
