| Opabunmi fires warning shot ![]() Opabunmi belongs to Nigeria's new generation of players Nigerian striker Femi Opabunmi said he is looking forward to a good outing for the Super Eagles against Angola. "I could score a goal in Luanda if the opportunity arises and I'm expecting such a chance," said the Grasshoppers of Zurich player. The left-legged striker, one of the top scorers at last year's Under-17 world championships in Trinidad and Tobago, was in Nigeria's World Cup team. Pedro Mantorras is expected to lead the Angolan charge for a victory over the Super Eagles. But Austin Ejide, Eagles' reserve goalie at the World Cup, says Nigeria will contain the striker who could ensure their defeat in what will be a difficult encounter. "There's nothing fantastic about Mantorras because I have watched him play on television. "There's no need to fear anybody. When we get to the pitch, we'll see what happens." The Eagles depart for Angola on Tuesday night via Johannesburg. |
