| Yobo agrees Everton deal ![]() Yobo (right) has been on a one-year loan deal Everton's Joseph Yobo has agreed personal terms for his 4.75m move to Goodison Park, BBC Sport Online has learned. He will officially complete his permanent switch when the transfer window opens in January. Nigerian World Cup defender Yobo has been a huge success since his summer arrival from Marseille, playing a key role in Everton's outstanding start to the season. Yobo initially came to Everton on a one-year loan deal, but made such an impact that boss David Moyes was keen to complete the move early. Everton struck a deal with Marseille before their game at Newcastle on Sunday - now Yobo has settled his part of the transfer and will put pen to paper on 1 January. And Everton's Head of Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Ian Ross told BBC Sport Online: "Everything has gone smoothly and talks are now all but complete. "We don't expect any complications now and have no reason other than to expect Joseph will formally complete the deal when the transfer window opens in January. "Joseph will sign a contract that ties him to Everton Football Club for the remainder of this season and for four more years." |
