Ramzy resumes training
Hany Ramzy (far right)
Ramzy's absence has affected Egypt
Egyptian defender Hany Ramzy has started training with his German club Kaiserslautern and hopes to return to first-team football in the shortest possible time.

Ramzy had been knocked out of action after he was diagnosed with Tuberculosis.

In an interview with an Egyptian newspaper, the central defender explained that the problem was not as acute as previously thought.

Ramzy's return to the pitch has eased the minds of Egyptian football officials, who regard him in the national team's Nations Cup qualifying campaign.

His absence from Egypt's opening match against Madagascar in Antananarivo was said to have played a role in their 1-0 defeat.

The defender's recovery could be instrumental to Kaiserslautern's fight for survival in the Bundesliga, as they are currently second from bottom.
