There were half-centuries for Jason Kerr and Nathan Dumelow, while Scott Selwood top-scored with 77, as the visitors, 98 for two overnight, reached 391 all out at tea. After patient innings from the middle-order, Dumelow was particularly aggressive, facing 59 deliveries for his 56, with nine fours and a six. The medium pace of veteran David Leatherdale brought three wickets in the day to see him finish with figures of four for 50. Set a daunting 373 for victory, the hosts lost the wicket of Anuragh Singh, bowled by Kevin Dean for the paceman's fifth wicket of the match, with 33 on the board. And when bad light brought an early close, they had added just three more, with Stephen Peters 23 not out.
