People have been asking me whether I'm feeling the heat ahead of Saturday's Test, with it being the mighty All Blacks, my 50th cap and my first game as captain since Scott Quinnell's retirement.

If the legs keep going and I'm good enough to be selected, I hope to add a lot more caps to my collection

New Zealand's team still has plenty to offer

Take the front row - it's inexperienced at international level, but those boys have been playing NPC and Super 12 for a few seasons.

Week-in, week-out, they're playing at a higher level of intensity than we are in Wales.

We have to make sure that, as a team, we stay focused and perform to the best of our ability.

I'm trying to play down the 50-cap thing and take it in my stride, but it is a huge honour.

I've had some great times with Wales, but the feeling of getting that first cap against Australia in 1996 ranks up there with anything.

Other than that, I'd say the day we openend the Millennium Stadium and beat the Springboks for the only time in Wales' history.

There've been quite a few questions about whether I'm going to retire now I've reached my 50 caps.

Dai Young, Scott Gibbs, Rob Howley and Scott Quinnell all went soon after passing that milestone.

I haven't considered that, though. If the legs keep going and I'm good enough to be selected, I hope to add a lot more caps to my collection.

Unless the journos are pushing me out of the door I'll let that one be!
