The Slovenian baseliner enjoyed her best ever season in 2003 and has forced her way into the seedings for the Australian Open.
She reached her first Tier 1 quarter-final at May's Italian Open, beating 11th seed Magdalena Maleeva on the way.
The 22-year-old then bettered her three previous performances at the French Open by beating 10th seed Jelena Dokic en-route to the third round.
Pisnik also recorded her best performance at the US Open by reaching the third round.
Her record at the Australian Open is more modest however.
She was knocked out in the first round by Tatiana Poutchek last year and reached the second round in 2001 and 2002.
Pisnik, who won the Orange Bowl in 1997, has one WTA Tour singles title to her name after winning in Bol in 2000.
