Dan Cox is ranked 11th in Great Britain

Lincolnshire tennis player Dan Cox was beaten 6-1 6-3 by Sebastian Grosjean in the first round of the Aegon Trophy.

The 18-year-old from Scopwick struggled to find his rhythm against the former Wimbledon semi-finalist in Nottingham, losing in one hour, 15 minutes.

Cox told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I did my best and tried everything but it just didn't seem to happen for me.

"I tried to forget about his reputation and didn't really think about it, I just didn't find my game out there."
