Murray will target his second title of the year on Sunday |
Andy Murray reached his first ATP final since February with a hard-fought 7-6 6-4 win over Argentina's Guillermo Canas in Metz. The 20-year-old squandered three break points in the first set but kept his composure to take the tiebreak 7-2.
Murray, who could face Canas again in the Davis Cup in February, did not face a break point until he dropped serve at 5-3 in the second set.
But he hit back at once to book a final against Spain's Tommy Robredo.

"The key was my serve," Murray said. "This was a test. I now feel I'm getting close to my best level."
Top seed Robredo came through a much harder match, eventually beating Frenchman Nicolas Mahut 7-5 4-6 6-4.
He and Murray have met only once, with the Spaniard winning 6-2 6-2 in the Las Vegas Championship final last year.
