Brothers Andy and Jamie Murray bowed out in the second round of the men's doubles at the Moselle Open in Metz.

The Scots lost 6-4 6-3 to Swede Simon Aspelin and Julian Knowle of Austria - the top seeds and US Open champions.

They let the first set slip within half an hour, having spurned two break points after being broken themselves.

They were immediately broken in the second set but after battling back from 3-0 to 3-2 they were broken again and slid to defeat.
