 Karlovic recorded his third win over Haas in three meetings |
Ivo Karlovic ended third seed Tommy Haas hopes at the US Clay Court championships with a 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 in their quarter-final on Friday. Karlovic's win was good news for Andy Murray as it means the Briton will replace Haas in the world's top 10.
The Croat will face Albert Montanes in the last four after he beat Vincent Spadea 6-4 6-4.
And James Blake beat Juan Monaco 7-5 (7-5) 1-6 7-6 (7-0) to set up a semi-final against Mariano Zabaleta.
He reached the last four with a 6-1 6-2 win over last year's runner-up Jurgen Melzer.
