World number one Roger Federer won his 14th straight match when he beat France's Sebastien Grosjean 6-3 6-3 in round two of the Toronto Masters. The Wimbledon and Australian Open champion will now face Russian Dmitry Tursunov in the round of 16.
Second seed Rafael Nadal saw off Korea's Hyung-Taik Lee 6-4 6-3, while US fifth seed James Blake fell to France's Richard Gasquet 6-4 6-3.
Lleyton Hewitt retired while trailing 6-3 3-2 against Thomas Johansson.

Andy Murray won the battle of Britain when he beat Tim Henman 6-2 7-6 (7-3), while Fernando Gonzalez of Chile, Carlos Moya of Spain and Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic also breezed into the round of 16.
Switzerland's Federer improved his record to 58 wins and four losses this year.
"It was a great win for me," Federer said. "I was able to be aggressive, serve and volley and come in a bit.
"I was really pleased at the way I played because he's a tough player."
Gonzalez beat Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain 6-2 6-1, Moya defeated Germany's Denis Gremelmayr 6-1 6-4 and 13th-seeded Berdych downed Russian Mikhail Youzhny 7-6 (3) 6-4.
Julien Benneteau of France upset Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia 7-6 (2) 5-7 6-1 and Thailand's Paradorn Srichaphan was also ousted in the second round, falling to Belgium's Xavier Malisse 7-6 (7-3) 6-3.
