SECOND SET

Henman 2-6 6-7 (7-3) Murray
The first two points go with serve before Murray reaches 1-2. Henman fights back to 2-2 but Murray wins the next four points for his first match point. Henman saves the first at 3-6 but goes down with the next.

Henman 2-6 6-6 Murray
Henman is fired up and buries an overhead for 30-0. Murray responds with a double-handed backhand winner and marches to 30-30 with a Henman error. The Scot then forces a breakpoint but Henman manoeuvres his man before unleashing a ferocious winner into the open court. Murray gets another breakpoint off a return but Henman saves himself again before a loose shot into the net. A Henman second serve brings another Murray error and deuce before Henman reaches set point. But he dumps a potential easy winner into the net. Murray reaches advantage twice more and as Henman finds the net again with the court at his mercy, Murray levels the set.

Henman 2-6 6-5 Murray
Henman chips and charges and puts away his volley for 15-30 but balloons a backhand long to allow Murray to draw level. Henman miscues a forehand for 40-30 but produces a deft stop-volley for deuce. Another chip-and-charge rushes Murray into an error and the Scot hits long to find himself behind for the first time in the set.

Henman 2-6 5-5 Murray
Henman has found some fight and buries the first three points, the third with his fourth ace. A double-fault lets Murray back in and a sloppy Henman forehand ushers in 30-40 before the Scot fires long for 5-5.

Henman 2-6 4-5 Murray
Henman finally induces some frustration in Murray as he reaches three breakpoints and converts the first.

Henman 2-6 3-5 Murray
Murray pumps a couple of devastating winners past Henman but the Englishman holds his nerve to stave off defeat.

Henman 2-6 2-5 Murray
Henman comes out firing and races to 0-30 and a Murray mistake gives the older player two breakpoints. He wastes the first and dumps the second in the net for deuce. But Murray has the hunger and wills his way to the game.

Henman 2-6 2-4 Murray
Murray conjures a stunning lob for 30-30 which Henman answers with an equally impressive backhand pass. The Englishman then seals the game to keep himself just about in the match.

Henman 2-6 1-4 Murray
Henman cannot sustain his renaissance and Murray nails the game easily with one of special backhand cross-court fizzers.

Henman 2-6 1-3 Murray
Henman gets to game point after a couple of Murray errors but the Scot flukes one off the net to usher in deuce. Murray goes cross-court with his forehand for advantage but after a glinting piece of jewellery in the crowd forces a momentary halt he fires long for deuce again. Henman then whips up a tight-angle forehand for advantage but Murray unleashes a backhand missile down the line. Henman eventually closes the game out to end Murray's six-game winning streak.

Henman 2-6 0-3 Murray
Murray takes another one as the Henman game continues its slide. He is able to conjure up the odd point which hints at the old class but is making a whole heap of unforced errors.

Henman 2-6 0-2 Murray
Henman wastes the first point with a lazy volley allowing Murray to pounce, and the young Scot comes up with a precise lob onto the baseline for 0-30. Murray then earns two breakpoints but squanders both. Henman gifts his rival another breakpoint with a long forehand but saves himself when he finds the range with his next. But Henman misses two more forehands to drop another game.

Henman 2-6 0-1 Murray
Murray questions one call and plonks an easy volley wide but otherwise cruises to the hold, helped by Henman's lack of precision as another drop shot drifts out.


FIRST SET

Henman 2-6 Murray
Henman slides to 15-40 as the young pup outguns him and a wayward backhand gifts Murray the first set.

Henman 2-5 Murray
A disconsolate Henman continues to make mistakes and shuffles from one side of the court to the other as Murray holds to love.

Henman 2-4 Murray
Henman makes a series of unforced errors and seems rather sluggish compared to the last game as he slumps to 15-40. He saves one break point and a Murray net sets up deuce. Both players reach advantage and back-to-back double-faults give Murray another break point which he converts.

Henman 2-3 Murray
A marathon rally at 30-15 sees Murray finally lose his nerve and allows Henman a chink of light. The veteran then moves Murray into the position he wants him and the lob from deep goes long to give Henman the break-back point. Murray saves, but a double-fault puts him under pressure before a pin-point backhand brings back deuce. Murray's fourth double sees deuce again and a lightning volley and a forehand winner gives Henman the break.

Henman 1-3 Murray
Henman finds himself 0-30 down as Murray plays him at his own game with some serve-and-volley tennis. The Englishman then double-faults to give Murray the first break points of the match. Henman saves one when he forces Murray deep and smashes the attempted lob. But Murray produces a heavily disguised forehand cross-court winner for the first break.

Henman 1-2 Murray
Murray holds serve easily enough but there are signs that Henman is able to up the pace of a rally at whim before unleashing a winner.

Henman 1-1 Murray
Henman loses the first point but scuttles around the squeaky court to win the next three. A cute drop shot sets up a Murray winner into the open court but Henman conjures up a stinging backhand and follows it up with a precise volley at the net for the game.

Henman 0-1 Murray
Murray gets the match under way with the first service game and romps to 30-0 before Henman buries a forehand for his first winner. The Scot nets for 30-30 and then makes an unforced error for deuce but Henman gifts him the game.
