Jersey kickboxer Monika Markowska continued her impressive run of form by beating European Champion Zaneta Ciesla at the 'Battle of Jersey'.

Markowska, who is a member of Cho's Tae kwon Do in Jersey, defeated the Polish fighter in three rounds.

Markowska adds the scalp to her World United Martial Arts World Championship titles.

She won the point sparring and light contact sparring under-55kg world titles in Worcester last October.

Other notable fights at the 'Battle of Jersey' saw another Jersey fighter get the better of a Polish opponent, as Liam McGreary beat Grzegorz Janus with an arm bar just 15 seconds before the end of the final round.

Meanwhile, Matt Blandin from Pisces Thai Boxing Gym narrowly beat John Gavey (Jersey Kickboxing Club) after three gruelling rounds.
