The Two on One Interviews | In a new series of hour-long interviews for BBC Radio Scotland, a panoply of football stars, past and present, talk candidly with former Celtic midfielder Murdo McLeod and former Rangers forward Gordon Smith about their careers. Billy McNeill: The former Celtic manager and Lisbon Lion speaks to Murdo and Gordon about his career as a player in Scotland, the famous win in 1967, and the controversial situation surrounding the signing of Maurice Johnston. Henrik Larsson: The former Celtic striker Henrik Larsson explains to Murdo and Gordon that it was an easy decision to come to Scotland, because the Glasgow club were the only team interested in him. And the talismanic Swedish goal-machine also speaks about his son's disappointment when he scored the winning goal against Bulgaria at Euro 2004, because it meant his dad wouldn't be coming home early. Alex McLeish: The new Scotland manager reveals to Murdo and Gordon that he considered leaving Rangers ahead of their historic tie with Villareal in the Champions League and says his final days at Ibrox were among the most difficult of his life. McLeish also speaks about his relationship with former Celtic manager Martin O'Neill and his days as a player with Aberdeen. And, discussing his managerial spell at Hibernian, he singles out three particular players as among the greatest ever to play for the Easter Road club. Kevin Keegan: The former Newcastle and Liverpool hero tells Murdo and Gordon that the media make life difficult for any England manager, with journalists often treating the head coach like a politician. Keegan also discusses his early career as a player with Scunthorpe, Liverpool and Hamburg and about the highs and lows of management with Fulham, Manchester City and Newcastle, and as the man in charge of England's fortunes at Euro 2000. Gordon Strachan: The Celtic manager talks to Murdo and Gordon about the pressures of managing one half of the Old Firm in the goldfish-bowl environment of Glasgow. He chats about his early playing career with Dundee, the glory days under Sir Alex Ferguson at Aberdeen and his time with the two English giants, Manchester United and Leeds United. Strachan also talks about his managerial highs and lows at Coventry City and Southampton. Andy Goram: In an revealing interview 'The Goalie' tells Murdo and Gordon the media unfairly portrayed his retirement from international football, prior to the 1998 World Cup in France, as a betrayal. Goram also speaks candidly about his early career, his time at Rangers, and his experience at Manchester United, where Irish international Roy Keane refused to speak to him when he arrived at Old Trafford. Terry Butcher: The Rangers and England legend talks to Murdo and Gordon about his early playing career with Ipswich, his part in Graeme Souness' Ibrox revolution in the 1980s and the 77 caps he won as England's captain courageous. He also speaks of the testing times at Motherwell when he took over the managerial reigns in 2001 as the club teetered on the brink of administration.
