Spotlight: Brawl marrs Wales U20 win

A probe has been launched after Wales Under-20s' Junior World Championship win over France ended in a mass brawl.

Leigh Halfpenny's penalty try deep into overtime sealed an unlikely win which sparking the ugly post-match scenes.

Punches were thrown from both sides and French prop Rabah Slimani was allegedly seen to kick out.

IRB match commissioner Matt Bayliss said: "We will be studying video footage. It is intended there be a full disciplinary process within 48 hours."

Wales won the match 23-19 after coming back from 19-9 down with three minutes remaining.

They will play New Zealand in the semi-final at Rodney Parade on Wednesday.
