Morgan should be back for Europe and the November Tests |
Wales and Newport Gwent Dragons full-back Kevin Morgan's foot injury is set to rule him out of the first month of the season. The 29-year-old has not played since breaking the foot against Cardiff Blues over Christmas.
He is expected to miss the first month of the new campaign, but should be back for the European Challenge Cup and Wales' autumn internationals.
Team-mate Ceri Sweeney should be fit for the season after groin suregery.
"It feels great, I started running on Tuesday and I've had no pain with it at all, I feel really happy," said the 26-year-old, 27-cap inside centre cum fly-half.

"It was troubling me throughout last season and it just got worse as time went on.
"It wasn't the type of injury that was going to stop me from playing altogether, but it meant I wasn't 100%.
"It was an acute pain all the time and if I kicked it would be a real sharp pain.
"People didn't see the real Ceri Sweeney last season because I was only able to play at 70%, that doesn't do a lot for your confidence.
"It's going to be a massive year with the World Cup coming up, I want to be part of the Wales scene.
"I need to speak to [Wales coach] Gareth Jenkins and see what he thinks my best position is."
