Ospreys ran in five tries, two of them from Adrian Cashmore, to beat Bristol in this Powergen Cup clash. The visitors were strong enough to see off Bristol's challenge despite a despite a hat-trick of tries from Marko Stanojevic for the home side. With nothing riding on the result of the Powergen Cup game, both sides rested many senior players. Gavin Henson's comeback was put on hold when the centre failed a late fitness test after suffering back spasms.

"There were some good individual performances, some good tries, but we are disappointed to have lost. "I will probably continue to rest the 17 that missed this game for next weekend's European Challenge Cup tie in Viadana before bringing out the big guns again for the return leg."
