Wales prop Adam Jones says he hopes the win over Australia will help boost the form of the country's ailing regions. The tight-head returns to the Ospreys ahead of their Powergen Cup trip to Bristol's Memorial Ground on Sunday.
Neither side can qualify for the semi final after losing their opening games to Gloucester and Bath, but the Ospreys want a lift before the Heineken Cup.
"We'll go back to the regions with a spring in our step after beating one of the world's top sides," said Jones.
"We want to carry that momentum through as we build towards the Six Nations clash with England on 4 February." A week after the Bristol game the Ospreys face a formidable Heineken Cup trip to Leicester.
That is the first leg of a home-and-away double header against the Tigers. It is a formidable challenge for the Celtic League champions after a poor start to the season.
But their win over Stade Francais in their Heineken Cup opener back in October means they have everything to play for.
